Lacy Flower

Good Morning!

"Monday, Monday, so good to me;
Monday morning, it was all I hoped it would be"
Mammas and Pappas Lyrics

Wow! the start of yet another week.  Bet loads of you that are old enough to remember that Mammas and Pappas tune will have it running around in your heads for a while today, huh?

So, a new week, a new day and that means a new card.

This one uses the emboss resist technique.
I think it is a super way to really show the wonderful detail of this stamp. (Which just so happens to be a NBUS one).

This one is for 4 challenges:

Just Us Girls - Flower
http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.pt/

A second entry into Darnells NBUS challenge.
http://www.djkardkreations.com/

And last but certainly not least,
a second entry into the Chocolate Baroque challenge

I just adore these strong colours but wanted to try to make a CAS-ish card with them this time.

The card was made very quickly by stamping the flower and heat embossing it with clear EP.

The background was sponged and blended with distress inks and then cut out with the spellbinders die.

It was popped onto another layer of card cut out with a larger die from the same spellbinders set.

The sentiment was die cut and attached, then the ribbon was attached and finally the whole thing was mounted on 3d pads and secured to the base card.

Items used:
Chocolate Baroque Stamp from the Lace Fragments set
Die Sire Best Wishes Die
Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles dies
Distress Inks: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Aged Mahogony
Versamark Watermark ink
Ranger superfine clear embossing powder

Thank you for stopping by,
I do hope you'll come back for another visit.

As usual, if you are kind enough to leave a comment I promise that I will reciprocate.

Hugs,
Sharon xx
